Single Survival

I was 31 when I met my husband and 32 when I married him.  I am intimately familiar with the emotions, struggles, and victories of life as an older Apostolic single, and as a result, I have a strong desire to encourage others who are walking that road.  This page is dedicated to singles over the age of 24.

Single Survival
In August of 2013 I posted an article called, "Single Survival."  It received a lot of positive feedback at the time, and on the chance that it will find its way to someone else who needs it, I am including it here.
"I’m 30.  I never had any intentions of being 30 and still single.  I was planning to be a housewife chasing kids and homeschooling by now.  I will readily admit that life’s deviation from what I had in mind has not been an easy adjustment, but little by little I am learning that, “It is what I make it.”  In the process, I’m realizing that there are some key factors to being content with where I am in life…and I thought I would share a few of them."

Older Single Rant
On Valentine's Day in 2013 I posted a list of what not to say to an older single.  This too proved a popular post.  Since then I have heard many other comments, some of which I may later add, but for now, happy reading.
"At 30 and unmarried, I have heard all the possible comments and forms of encouragement.  To be honest, most of them are waste of breath…and some are downright hurtful.  Allow me to share my perspective on what I hear the most often…"
